WEAKLY, James Sims: Hancock Co., Ohio, USA; 1855 - 19?? I'm looking for information about my great grandfather and his father. James was married to Maretta FOX. We believe his fathers name was also James and married to Mary Misamore. James and Maretta had six children, Carl, Clara, Cloyce, Otto, May and Frank. I have some information about his family members and most of the family tree in detail below Frank O. Weakly born Sept. 29, 1883. Frank's wife was Goldie E. WOODS. I have the family tree on Goldies side back to 1753 with the MCVAY family.

I am researching Erastus Moses EGGLESTON, married to Sarah Elizabeth NICHOLS.  Eggleston was born in Connecticut in 1813 and, after spending a few years in Alabama, moved to Geneva, Ashtabula County, Ohio.  I just learned he died in 1888 in the home of his son-in-law, Hon. F. THORPE, in Findlay, Ohio.   I believe F. Thorpe's wife was Orlena ALBERTON, born 1847.  The other Eggleston children were:  Foster Webb, born 1844, Charlotte Augusta, born 1849, Viola Angelina, born 1853, Palmer E., born 1858, Charles Homer (my great-grandfather) born 1862, and Lottie, born 1865.   Any information would be very much appreciated.

Born Fostoria, Ohio (some records show Seneca County, some Hancock County) on 25 Nov 1861; died Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio 22 Oct 1904.    Wife's name Mary Ellen FOX, her father was Anthony FOX and Elizabeth Schreffler.    Need information on father and mother of Herschel Coonrod SHELLER.   All his birth records were allegedly burned up in courthouse fire in 1868.   Anecdotal evidence says his father was John SHELLER and his mother was Maria GROTE, but we have no direct evidence to back this up.    Their children were Fiske Ryell SHELLER, Harry Nathan SHELLER, Alvin Reade SHELLER, and Aleta Ethel SHELLER.  All were born in Fostoria, Ohio (either Seneca or Hancock County).     Any help would be appreciated.   Frances J. BEARD.  Looking for information on Edward BEARD and family.  They were from York Co., Pa.  In the York Co. will of his brother William BEARD in 1872, part of the estate was left to the two sons of his brother Edward BEARD of Hancock, Co., OH.    William was born in 1805, so I assume that Edward's age is close to that.  They may have been in Ohio as early as 1850.  Does anyone have information on this BEARD family?

SWISHER, Sarah was born 1858 in Hancock County Ohio died in Page County Iowa. Parents are Josiah Swisher and Eliza Ann Williamson. Siblings are Newton Swisher buried in Sydney Iowa, Melissa and Saphorina. I found them in the 1870 census of Handcock County. Would like any information on this line.

My name is William C. Jones and I am a 5th generation Jones in Blanchard Township of Hancock County. My ancestry begins in Hancock County with David M. BALDWIN (1835) and I have compiled and extensive genealogy of his descendents which include the surnames of JONES, COLEMAN, BALDWIN, WHITELOCK, POWELL, HISSONG, and others. The 1992 version of this genealogy is in the Findlay Hancock County Library as "David M. Baldwin, Descendents of a Blanchard Township Pioneer." This has since been significantly updated. A history on the village of Benton Ridge was also placed in the same library and this includes other names of Blanchard Township people. I am the Clerk of Blanchard Township and am preparing a history of Blanchard Township and in it have extensive information on education in the township and elected officials from earliest years (1832). I am particularly interested in the above names and will appreciate any information to improve the existing genealogy. I am also interested in helping others who may be researching these names and others.
