John HARTMAN - Amanda GORDON Marr. Hancock Co. Ohio 1850's Trying to trace John HARTMAN ancestry, b. 1819, Penn. Dutch. Children were Albert, Thomas Jefferson b. 1857, and Alice. Amanda's parents were Samuel GORDON - Polly GEORGE. Believe children were born in Hancock Co. Oh. Reference to Vanlue Farm. Family later migrated to Allegan, MI area. Have photos of John & Amanda and family history to present. Looking for information on all surnames.

I am looking for information on a HARPER family that I believe may belong to my family. I found them listed in the 1880 Federal Census as living in Mount Blanchard, OH, Hancock County. The information I have is as follows: H. H. HARPER, b. about 1841 in Ohio - Occupation: Minister; Elizabeth HARPER, b. about 1842 in Virginia; Etta L. HARPER, b. about 1861 in Ohio - This, I believe to be my Great Grandmother; M. H. HARPER, b. about 1863 in Ohio; Elihu HARPER, b. about 1865 in Ohio; Harlow HARPER, b. about 1872 in Ohio; Churby (?) HARPER, b. about 1876 in Ohio; Clarra HARPER, b. about 1879 in Ohio. If you have any information on this family, or any advice in locating more information, please let me know. I am searching for Marriage and Death information for Solon "Scott" WILCH b.1892 Sep 26,in Madison Twp,Hancock Co, OH, father Philip.W. WILCH, Mother Flora KIBLER, as found in theHancock Co, Ohio. Probate Court Birth records v. 3, pp 279 #107; "Scott" is shown in the 1910 Census, age 17 yrs, still living with his parents in Arlington Village, Madison Twp,Hancock Co., OH with his occupation as apprentice at a Drug Store. In the 1920 Census a dau in law, Florence WILCH, a Widow is living with Flora,and also a grandchild named Dorothy, 1 yr old,. in Findlay, Hancock,OH. The information I have found from family only says Scott died early. My father, Paul J. KIBLER, who was Flora's nephew, knew Dorothy as "Dottie",living in Fort Wayne, Allen, IN, where Flora Kibler WILCH died in 1946. Does anyone know anything of Scott's marriage or Death? I have come to a dead end in my searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information regarding the Alexander MCCLELLAND family, shown in the 1860 census for Eagle Twp, Hancock Cty, OH. Specifically looking for information regarding his wife, Minerva, maiden name unknown. Also, any information regarding his children: Rebecca (b.~1844), Crisa (b ~ 1847), David (b~1850), Thomas (b~1852), Franklin (b~1853), Elizabeth (b~1859), Harriet (b~1861), George (b~1864), Nancy (b~1868). Also listed in 1860 census is Rebecca, aged 80 (b~1780), relationship unknown but presumed to be Alexander's mother. Between 1868-1870, the family moved to New York twp, Caldwell Ctry, MO. I am a descendant of George (b~1864) and am trying to track down related McClellands. Thanks!

BROWN David b abt 1824 Ohio; Rachel b abt 1832 Ohio; Ara b 1858 b Ohio; Nicholas b abt 1848 Ohio -- They show up on the 1860 Hancock co Il census I am looking for the parents of David BROWN and his death date. The only information I have on him, is his birth is in Ohio. His wife was Rachel MOHILL, also born in Ohio. Their marrige date is; Rachel MOHILL married Hamilton Ohio to David BROWN by 1870 Rachel Jane BROWN married Abraham KLEIN/CLINE Jan 23 1870 Schuyler Missouri. I am also looking for the parents of Rachel MOHILL. About 1869 the BROWN family located in Schuyler Co Missouri.

CONE, JOHN GEORGE; Hancock County, Ohio. I am looking for descendants of John G.(B: 1867 D: 1941) and Mary E. (Molly B: 1870 D: 1944)) Jacobs Cone. They had 2 sons, Carl Wesley Cone (B: 1/11/1893 D: 1/6/1956) and Dale L. Cone (B: 1891 D: 12/20/1966) The parents and Carl are buried in Van Horn Cemetery in Vanlue, Ohio. It is believed that the sons married late in life (age 40 - 50) and possibly Carl had 2 children. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. They all lived near Mortimer, Ohio (north of Findlay in Hancock Co., Ohio).
