I am searching for information concerning William John HOLLOWAY and his wife, Henrietta ROSE. I know William was born in Virginia in 1934 and he enlisted with the Ohio 30th in Columbus in 1861. They both were Quakers and moved to Indiana a few years after the war. I believe all six of their children were born in Ohio. It was said Henrietta's father, Henry ROSE, was a Mohawk and her mother's name (also a Mohawk) was GARNER. I know nothing of William's family, other than they moved from Virginia to Ohio, but would love to explore this branch. Is the family still in Hancock County

Moses FELLOWS born in 1814 in Penn. moved to Ohio for a period of his life. He married Elizabeth ROBENOLT. He died about 1852 on the way to the gold fields of California. There is no direct date of death because his body was not found. Elizabeth married again about 1861 to John MCCOLLUM. I know that two of Elizabeth Robenolt's aunts married FELLOWs men. George Peter ROBENOLT and Barbara Johanna KNEER were married in 1785 in Northamption Co., PA and moved to Hancock County, Ohio some time in the 1780s. They had children there and I am wondering if their son, Peter ROBENOLT born in 1787, was born in Hancock Co.? He married Margaret CRAMER, daughter of Solomon CRAMER and Barbary Cattick CRAMER. Matthias CARSNER b1816 Pickaway Co., OH married Minerva GROVE b1823 Pickaway Co., OH on 1/22/1843. Matthias CARSNER and Michael CARSNER b1800 VT or VA are both in Hancock Co., in 1850. Matthias is in Linn Co., IA by 1870. Michael CARSNER was in Jefferson Co., OH in 1820 and 1830. Can anyone help us with the parentage of Matthias or Michael?

Reuben C REESE was born on 6 Jul 1858.  He appeared on the census in 1900 in Blanchard Twp, Benton Ridge, Hancock County, Ohio.   He died about 9 Feb 1911.  He was married to Eldora Rozetta WOLFE on 17 Jul 1881.  Interested in any information on any REESEs in Hancock County.

HARDWICK/HARDWIG, MULL; Hancock Co., Ohio. I have a marriage document on my 3rd great grandparents: Aveline HARDWICK/HARDWIG and Daniel MULL were married 16 Oct 1852 in Hancock Co., Ohio. He was previously from Pennsylvania and Aveline was from Virginia, but both were born in Germany (?). Would like more info on them as well as any connections with others.

COOK, Elnora, b Hagerstown, MD, 1831; d Dallas Co., IA, 1872; md Danial TOOMAN, Hancock Co., OH, 7 Nov 1845. The family lived in Hancock Co. until before Mar 1857, when they migrated to IA. Children born Hancock Co., OH: Joseph, David, William H., Martin, and John R. Tooman. Children born IA: Eugene R. and Elias Tooman. Am searching for parents and siblings of Elnora COOK. The ancestor I am researching is David BUTTERMORE. He was born in Westmoreland County, PA on 12 Aug 1824. He died on 24 April 1864 in Putnam County, Ohio, but was buried in Clymer Cemetery in Union Township, Hancock County, Ohio. I am looking for an obituary for him or his wife. His wife was Mary Ann TARR. She was born Feb 7, 1826 and died 23 Nov 1891. I don't where she died, but she is also buried in Clymer Cemetery. Any obituary information would be very much appreciated.
