BILLER, COIN, CORN, COYN, MOYER, MYERS posted by Barbara E. Troost on Friday, November 1, 2002

Am researching my great grandfather William Martin MYERS, born in Ohio, 1852, possibly in Benton Ridge, Blanchard Township, Hancock County. In 1860 census, he, a sister Lydia, age 4, and brother Jacob, age 10, are living in Blanchard Township with Sarah and John COIN. I have a later photo of Sarah, taken in 1884 or so, and the caption reads "Aunt Sarah CORN". In the 1880 census, same township, Sarah and John COYN are living with Catherine Moyer, age 66, born in PA, listed as mother in law of John COYN. (COYN, CORN and COIN are the same people.) could this Catherine MOYER be the mother of William, Jacob, and Lydia?, and therefore a sister to Sarah? William Martin MYERs married Hannah E. BILLER in 1880 in Wood county , Ohio, then moved to Indiana and he died of typhus in 1893 in Kosciusco County. please help me find the parents of William, it has long been the family mystery. I thank you.
