I am trying to learn who the father of my Jacob W. THOMPSON was. He was born in Ohio in 1820. Was living in Orange Twp., Hancock Co., by 1845. He married Anna BOWSER in 1845 in Hancock Co., By 1860 they are in Kosciusko Co. IN. I have looked at David and Samuel Thompson's wills from Hancock and do not find my Jacob mentioned. Any suggestions appreciated.

I am looking for information on John and Sally (Sarah) MILLS BEAMER. They were married in Tuscarawas Co. in 1819 but were in Hancock County by about 1842 when her father (Thomas MILLS) died. They sold the property inherited from him at that time. The property was located in Warren Twp., Tuscarawas Co. They had one known son, John D. BEAMER, who was one of the administrators of his uncle's will in 1845 in Putnam Co. His uncle's name was William MILLS. John D. BEAMER was listed at that time as being from Hancock Co. In 1847 he married his cousin, Eliza MILLS, in Putnam Co.

I am searching for OMAN and COLEMAN families from the Findlay, Hancock County area - all townships. Nicholas COLEMAN born April 20, 1791 and died April 20, 1855 or 1865. Arrived in OH. in the Findlay area in 1820-1840 he was married Susan ALCORN born Jan 3, 1786 and died Jan. 9,1879; they were married in Columbia Co., in PA.; they came to Hancock County with Thomas COLEMAN and Georgianna COLEMAN two of there children. Thomas COLEMAN was born Dec 15, 1825 and died ca 1901. Thomas was married to Susan BALDWIN born Aug. 9, 1836 and died May 8, 1903; they were married Mar 30, 1853 in Findlay Hancock Co. Thomas is my greatgrandfather. He had 9 children one of which was Charles COLEMAN who was born April 24, 1881 and died Jan. 2, 1961; Charles was married to Sadie OMAN born Dec 19,1882 and died Feb 5,1975; they were married June 9,1908; They had 5 children one of whom was my Father Rex Thomas COLEMAN born July 24,1920 and died April 17, 1997. The OMAN family I am searching for would be the parents of Sadie OMAN and siblings. Sadie's parents were Jacob C. OMAN born Dec 25,1851 and died Oct 16,1918 in Findlay OH, and was married to Clara Ellen (Nellie) YATES born on Aug 30,1858 and died Mar 23,1931; they were married June 25,1876; Sadie had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Any information on the OMAN families still in the Findlay area would be appreciated as they are most likely related to me.

HORN, Fredrick Myron - Searching for parents/siblings/family of Fredrick Myron HORN, maternal great- grandfather, born 8/9/1827 in Findlay, Ohio, He died in 1911 and death certificate does not list either parent. He married Matilda Fuson in 1858 in St. Joseph County, Indiana where they lived the rest of their lives. The 1880 Federal Census lists a brother, David Horn, living with them. David's age was 42,so he was born about 1838.

Am looking for the descendants of David (1797-1858) & Susan (1804-1865) REAM STONEHILL. David & Susan Stonehill, with most of their children, moved to the New Stark, Hancock Co., Oh. area ca. 1851 from Stark Co., Oh. Their children includeed Polly who md. Joseph ROTHROCK, John who md. Christena SPIEGLE, Jacob who md. Elmira MILLER, Harriet who md. John SLUSS, David who mmd. 1) Isabella BOWERS 2) Angelina, Susan who md. Gabriel MOSES, George who md. Polly KLINGERMAN, Lydia who md. Peter SLUSSER, William who md. Pleasans SPAR & Phillip who md. Jane SELLS. Other than Harriet & Phillip STONEHILL (who remained in Stark Co.), all of David & Susan Stonehill's children moved to the Hancock Co. area. Polly Stonehill Rothrock's lineage is the only branch that is well developed thanks to the BOSSERMAN FAMILY HISTORY the Findlay public library. With a few exceptions, the other branches of the Stonehill family seem to have disappeared! Would be interested in conversing with anyone on any branch of David & Susan Stonehill's lineage.

Seeking information on the descendants of the HORN, CARSNER (KERSHNER), DUKE and GROVE families that were living in Blanchard Twp., Hancock Co., Ohio in 1850. The CARSNER's are descendants of Mathias (Sr.) and Sarah (HORN) KERSHNER. The HORN's are it seems descendants of Sarah's brother Christian HORN.
