BROWN/KELLY/WENNER/WOLF/MICHELS 1830's Hancock County. ** On June 4, 1835 Joshua BROWN 1799-1884 married Anna KELLY 1810-1887 daughter of James KELLY and Elizabeth LANE. Joshua & Anna lived on the KELLY homestead in Hancock County. They had the following children Elizabeth 1837-1916 married John WENNER, Cyrus 1840-1909 married Hannah WOLF, Washington 1843-1863 died in the Civil War (57th Ohio V.I.), Perlina 1845-1874, Emmarilla 1847-1877 married William MICHELS, Morris 1849 - aft 1929, Calista Jane 1851-1853. Joshua BROWN is the son of Joshua BROWN from Huntingdon County, Pa. I am looking for any information in regards to Joshua and/or his descendants or any information on the KELLY family.

Looking for any information on a William E. DOYLE who passed away and is possibly buried in Hancock Co. William resided in Bloom township, Wood Co. in 1910 and passed away in 1918. He is not buried in any of the cemeteries in Wood Co., and I was told to search in Hancock Co. since Bloom township is on the line. Any onw with information would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

I have a family Bible purchased from a yerd sale in Palm Beach Co. Florida that I would like to return to the descendants of the RUSSELL'S listed inside. The family is: William J. RUSSELL of Handcock Co. and Maggie YETTER of Handcock Co. married 14 May 1857 at 7:00 by Rev.BECK. It lists their 7 children,some marriages and some deaths.William J. RUSSELL d.25 March 1872 and Maggie (YETTER) RUSSELL (LINE?) d.4 July 1933.Some other names listed are ERVIN, BARR,and KIRCHENSCHLAGER. Please help me get this Bible back to the RUSSELL descendants.

DAWSON b. abt 1809 in VA ** Mary DAWSON (wife) b. abt 1812 in NY ** Enoch B. DAWSON (son) b. abt 1832 in OH ** Cyrus P. DAWSON (son) b. abt 1834 in OH ** Jno. S. DAWSON (son) b. abt 1837 in OH ** Thos. M. DAWSON (son) b. abt 1839 in OH ** Danl. O. DAWSON (son) b. abt 1842 in OH ** Jemima DAWSON (daughter) b. abt 1844 in OH ** Mary E. DAWSON (daughter) b. 1846 in OH ** Geo. DAWSON (son) b. abt 1848 in OH ** I believe Thos. M. may be my gr-gr-gr grandfather, Thomas Martin VanBuren DAWSON who married Hannah Isabel HOSFORD in Jan 1859 in Story County, IA, and raised a family in IA, and possibly died in Whatcom County, WA in the early 1890s. Geo. may have been a George B. DAWSON who married a Catherine and raised a family in NE, then was found in Whatcom County, WA after 1893. I could not find John W. DAWSON in Ohio in the 1860 Federal Census. Any help would be appreciated!

Wesley Summer MAYS b-23 Feb 1870 in Venango Co. PA D-28 Apr 1953 in Grove City, PA Venango Co. Pa md Minnie Helen JOLLY b- 01 Mar 1875 Venango Co. Pa D-05 Mar 1923 Findlay, OH. Both Wesley & Minnie are bur at Maple Grove Cem. they had the following children Arthur Bryan MAYS B-09 Jul 1901, Howard W. MAYS B-07 Oct 1903, Margaret Elizabeth MAYS b- 27 Dec 1905 (married Lawrence G. YOUNG) Lewell Newton "Newt" MAYS B-30 Dec 1908. Arthur D- in Adrian MI. Howard & Lewell died in FL. Margaret & her husband died in Findlay. Wesley's Mother was Margaret EAKIN B- 25 Dec 1848 in Irwin Twp. Venango Co. PA I believe she died possibly in June 1926 in Findlay, OH. No doubt she is buried at Maple Grove Cem. with her son & his wife Minnie. I am preparing a history of the EAKIN families of Venango Co. & Butler Co. PA. I am most anxious to contact anyone with information about Margaret EAKIN & possibly to contact some of her Descendants.

Almira Huff married Jeremiah Boltz in Hancock County in 1849. Jacob Weimer in Hancock County about 1840 his son Christopher married Mary Jane Thomas in Hancock County abt 184?.

CONINE, Samuel Ira Bronson, Hancock Co, Oh from 1850 until his death on March 21, 1891, on the courthouse steps in Defiance Oh. Born Sept 24, 1841, in Licking, Co, Oh. He is the son of William Harrison CONINE and Loretta L. GALE. Married Minerva Jane (Jennie) BYSAL, daughter of Philip BYSAL and Mary Margret CAREY. He served in the OVI 118th, Company G, during the Civil War from 1860 until 1865. I have letters that Jennie and Ira exchanged during the Civil War prior to their marriage in Hancock Co, Oh, in Sept 1865. He had 3 sisters: Hannah Conine APGAR (Anderson), Sarah "Sallie" Conine SHAW (John) and Stratira Conine who all resided in Hancock County. Oh. I have information on the CONINE family which dates back to the 1660's in New York. Also information from NJ, during the 1700's and Ohio in the 1800's. Would like to hear from anyone interested in CONINE, CAREY, BYSAL, and GALE families.

I have some information about one Christian HORN who died in Hancock County, OH March 3, 1855. This Christian HORN was a veteran of the War of 1812. I have a copy of a document where his son, John HORN, is applying for bounty land. Also listed are a number of John's siblings: Elizabeth, Henry, Julia Ann, and Joseph, et. al. Also mentioned: Elias HORN, Samuel HORN, Frederick HORN, Jacob HORN.
