Ancester John LONG and Sibella THOMPSON LONG lived in Hancock County before 1846.Their children were Hannah b. 1794; William b.1797; Robert b.1801; twins Sarah and Margaret b.1803; Sibella b.1808; Johnb.1811; Ruthb.1814; James b.1817 and Jeptha b.1821. Son John married Mazilla POULSON. Am seeking any information on these families and their history. Thank you.

ADAMS, Hancock Co., Ohio 1836 to ? Looking for more information on the Adams family. Paul Adams was born 28 Apr 1811 in Pa., he married Margaret Diehl on 25 Apr 1832. They had 7 children. In 1841 Paul and Margaret Adams moved to Hancock Co., Ohio. Jacob Adams was born on 30 Mar 1842 in Hancock Co., Ohio. Jacob served in the Civil War and was a prisoner in 3 different prisons before he eventually was released (I have a copy of his Civil War Diary). After the war, Jacob went to school and became a teacher. Jacob married Sarah Belle PHILLIPS on 3 May 1870. Is anyone else researching this family and has information to share?

My Grandmother was Hanna C. MYERS (3/11/1867 - 7/1/1923), daughter of B.F. MYERS. His wife was perhaps a Miss SAGER. I am searching for any information on that line. At one time, there was a B.F. Myers or Myers Family Reunion held every year in Findlay, OH. I remember attending as a child.

Looking for information on children of John HOSLER (HOSTLER), b 1830, who m 26 May 1850 Hancock Co, OH Rachel V OMAN, b 1825 Columbia Co, PA. They had Sarah E HOSLER, b 1851 Hancock Co, OH (Did she marry Gideon C KNEPPER IN 1874 Hancock Co, OH?), James D HOSLER b 1852, Clarissa HOSLER, b 1854, d/y; Mary HOSLER, b 1855;d/y; Melvina HOSLER, b 1858; Clara D HOSLER, b 1862 who m Paul WEIST; Sheridan E HOSLER, b 1864; Sherman HOSLER, b 1866; Loring Webster HOSLER, b 1871 Eagle Twp, Hancock Co, OH. On 1880c, Eagle Twp, Hancock Co, OH, a grandson named William FOLK is included in their household. Since we can rule out unmarried Clara D, and other two little girls are already dead, that leaves Sarah E HOSLER & too young Melvina HOSLER. Did they have another daughter or did Sarah E not marry KNEPPER?

They had at least Noah WAGNER, b 1871 and Priscilla WAGNER, b 1876. Sophiah WAGNER is on 1880c Jackson, Hancock Co, OH and she is a widow.

RISNER (BECK), VERNA MAE: Died December 23, 2004 at Foote Hospital of Jackson, Michigan. She was born September 16, 1917 in Vanlue, Ohio to Earl Ray and Verna Levica (PARKER) BECK. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. RISNER and son, Ronald Earl RISNER. Verna leaves behind eight children, 23grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her children are: Janet (Gordon) HUNT of Parma, James (Sharon) RISNER of Parma, Ellen (David) LYONS of Colorado and Florida, Carol (Jon) PARCHER of Oxford, MS, John (Mary) RISNER of Parma, Thomas (Linda) RISNER of Parma, Lora (Rick) WILDS of Grand Haven, Michigan and Las Vegas, NV and Cora MORR of Stark, FL; also three sisters, Jenny KLEOPFER of Corey, OH, Grace THOMPSON of Edge Water, FL and Betty WARREN of Daytona, FL. Verna moved to Michigan in 1940 with her husband and children, then worked at various manufacturing plants in the area, retiring from Corning Glass Works in Albion. Verna was an excellent seamstress and made many of her children's clothes. She played piano and in earlier years played accordion. She was also part of one of the first women's high school basketball teams in Vanlue, Ohio who were area Champs. She was also, along with her sisters a school bus driver for her father who owned the buses before selling them to the Vanlue School District. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 4, 2005 from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Parma Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parma Chapel with Ms. Catherine Nieto officiating. Burial will be at North Parma Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Jackson & Oaklawn Hospice. Published in the Jackson Citizen Patriot on 12/29/2004.

I have a Joseph FRENCH OH/OH/OH born abt 1834 and Sarah J HATFIELD FRENCH born about 1841 OH/OH/OH married on May 20th, 1858 in Hancock, OH. Fom a 1880 MO Census they have the following children: John H abt 1861 OH/OH/OH; Edward abt 1863 OH/OH/OH; Viola abt 1865 OH/OH/OH; Theodore abt 1868 IA/OH/OH; Caroline abt 1869 IA/OH/OH; Ella D 01/01/1871 IA/OH/OH; Lorenzo D. abt 1873 IA/OH/OH; William abt 1876 IA/OH/OH; (son??) abt 1878 IA/OH/OH; After settling in Iowa, the family settled in Bolckow, Andrew County, MO. Viola and Ella had a double wedding here, Ella to William JACKSON on 11/26/1891. Both Joseph and Sarah appear living in Kansas City, abt 1910 Ella and William are also in Kansas City after 1910, any and all info greatly apperciated, as I am a direct decendeant to all of them, and very new to researching.

I am researching my family history for Clyde Stanley FORRESTER. Born 5/25/1888 in Tyler County, WV but left sometime after 1900 census. According to his marriage licence he was a resident of Findlay prior to marring Bessie GORDON. He was married on 5/8/1907 in Ohio County, WV. Therefore in lived in or near Findlay sometime between 1900 and 1907. Do any records exist of him being there. Perhaps with one of his half brothers, surname THORN.

DENISON, Hester: Hester (or Ester) DENISON, nee Conklin, died December 24, 1873. Seek information on her burial location. Her husband, Elihu DENISON, who died in 1858 is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, Hancock County.
